Role Overview
The FP&A Manager will be responsible for overseeing the monthly financial close and forecast processes across Process Automation, ensuring timely and accurate financial close, consolidation, and reporting. This role involves working collaboratively across the IMI FP&A community to identify and implement opportunities for driving efficiency, consistency, and best practices across verticals. The FP&A Manager will also lead cross-vertical projects and problem-solving initiatives.
In collaboration with the Process Automation Sector FP&A team, the FP&A Manager will deliver the month-end and forecast Operating Performance Review packs, ensuring their accuracy and timeliness while providing insightful analysis. This position demands a high level of analytical skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of reporting timelines and templates: Design and maintain internal reporting timelines, manage the end-to-end processes, templates and guidance (i.e. forecast instructions and monthly instructions) to meet reporting requirements.
- Financial close and consolidation: Manage the financial close process of IMI Process Automation in line with reporting requirements, providing training and support to Verticals to achieve and improve data accuracy.
- Financial reporting: Responsible for preparation of the month end, forecast and budget OPR packs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and relevance of financial information.
- Financial analysis and insight: Provide insightful and actionable financial analysis delivering insights in the form of so what, now what to inform decision making and strategic planning.
- Business partnering: Partner closely with Vertical Finance, Commercial Finance and Group Finance teams.
- Process improvement: Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and data quality.
- Leadership and collaboration: Lead and deliver cross-verticals projects and problem-solving initiatives in line with business requirements, working collaboratively across the IMI FP&A community and other stakeholders.
Critical Competencies for Success:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance/ACCA qualified
- Hands on experience of 5-7 years in financial planning & analysis and reporting, including exposure on budgeting and long-term business forecasting with MNC
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Proactive problem solver, curiosity and ability to follow issues through to conclusion.
- Advance skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Capable of working both independently and with a team.
- Ability to produce under pressure to a high degree of accuracy, with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
- Effective communication skills with experience interacting with Global stakeholders.
- Ideally experience with Cognos Controller or similar consolidation applications.
- Excellent written and spoken English
