Overview

Responsible for the testing of financial controls andcompliance with Groupe policies across the entities which collectively are part of the Publicis Groupe Asia and Australian/NZ, encompassing brands such as Publicis WW, Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, Starcom, Zenith, Sapient,

Epsilon, Prodigious and more.

Responsibilities

The role involves the following:

  • Performance of on-site testing of finance processes andcontrols for agencies (with focus on Revenue recognition and Balance Sheet risks);
  • Testing involves:
    • Preparation of an audit file evidencing the testing performed and conclusions;
    • Identification and assessment of control exceptions and deficiencies including related risk assessment;
    • Agreement of action plans with local management for the remediation of control deficiencies;
    • Preparation of reports detailing deficiencies and recommendations for improvements;
    • An efficient and effective assessment approach to ensure that all assigned work is completed according to schedule and within the established budget parameters;
    • Performance of assigned duties in a manner that reflects integrity and the highest professional standards;
    • Communication of latest Groupe guidelines and Best Practices (relating to internal controls and compliance matters) to CFOs and training/induction of new CFOs/FCs in Groupe policies and Best Practices (as reflected in Groupe guidelines Janus I and Janus II);
    • Supporting the FMC team in the drafting and review of audit tools and Best Practices guidelines;
    • Other ad-hoc compliance related projects as may arise from time to time.

    Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in external Audit, preferably one of the Big 4 (PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG)
  • Qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other Audit/Accounting certification;
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese
  • Knowledge of IFRS and audit techniques
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • The following, whilst not a prerequisite, are a big plus:
    • Advertising and/or media experience
    • Sarbanes Oxley experience
    • International experience (e.g. work/study overseas)
