Role Purpose
Provide Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) expertise to support business, regulatory, and transformation initiatives. Ensure effective management of financial crime risks through robust governance, controls, operating models, and advisory support across people, processes, technology, and data.
Key Responsibilities
1) Operating Model & Transformation Delivery (Primary)
- Support governance forums, working groups, and stakeholder engagements, driving actions and deliverables to completion.
- Identify and manage FCC dependencies, risks, issues, and control gaps across people, processes, technology, data, and third-party services.
- Design and enhance FCC operating models, including controls, systems, reporting, governance, and service delivery frameworks.
- Contribute to transformation, integration, remediation, and regulatory change initiatives.
- Implement interim and long-term compliance solutions to address operational, regulatory, and control requirements.
- Escalate and track key risks and remediation activities through appropriate governance channels.
2) FCC Advisory & Program Delivery
- Maintain and enhance FCC frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures.
- Provide FCC advisory across products, customer journeys, business processes, and technology initiatives.
- Conduct risk assessments and support the identification, escalation, and remediation of financial crime risks and control weaknesses.
- Oversee monitoring, assurance, and thematic review activities, driving continuous improvement.
- Support regulatory engagements, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Prepare risk reporting and governance materials for senior management and key stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Strong Financial Crime Compliance experience, including AML/CFT, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), and financial crime risk management.
- Experience in compliance advisory, risk assessment, control design, governance, and regulatory change.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across Compliance, Business, Operations, Technology, Data, and Legal functions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.
- Proven ability to manage complex initiatives and deliver in a regulated environment.
Preferred
- Experience within insurance, banking, wealth management, fintech, or other regulated financial services sectors.
- Exposure to regional or multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments.
- Experience supporting transformation, integration, remediation, or large-scale change programs.
- Relevant professional certifications in Financial Crime Compliance, AML, Risk Management, or Compliance.
