Assisting in the preparation monthly and annual management accounts.
Ensuring financial follow-up with business units and management.
Compiling and analysing financial information for internal purpose.
Establishing, maintaining, and coordinating accounting records and accounting control procedures.
Analysing and reviewing expenditures against budgets.
Monitoring and reviewing accounting reports for accuracy and completeness.
Supporting projects and business unit managers in preparing projects and business unit forecasts/budgets.
Training staff in accounting policies and procedures and assisting with accounting issues.
Analyzing financial data to assist business units with interpretation of financial data.
Maintaining financial systems and procedures to ensure adherence to the group/company guidelines.
Carrying out other ad hoc financial reporting and analytical work.
Providing guidance to the project and administration team, allowing for flexibility, evolution of process and focusing on the analytics and comprehension of the financial statements.
Interacting with external auditors.
Carrying out internal audits as and when required.
Understanding and implementing the company health and safety policy and taking reasonable care of own health and safety and the health and safety of others.
Complying and co-operating with any reasonable instruction, policy or procedure by the company to allow the company to comply with their duties and obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act.
Ensuring appropriate personal training/competence to carry out the prescribed task and that the necessary licences/certificates of competence are current and appropriate.
Ensuring the appropriate plant and equipment to carry out the prescribed task is available and safe to operate and taking personal care of plant and equipment to maintain it's safe to operate condition.
Ensuring that all guards/barriers are securely fixed and that all safety equipment and personal protective clothing/equipment provided are used.
Reporting any events/incidents as soon as reasonably practical and stopping work and reporting concerns to the immediate supervisor if there are concerns for personal safety.
Ensuring no personal interference with any safety device occurs without the appropriate company approval.
Setting a personal example on all matters of health and safety and participate in Perimeter/BU worker participation practices.
Job Requirements:
A degree in commerce with accounting is preferred.
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports and forecasts.
High level financial, conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Work requires adhering to both flexible schedules, particularly with respect to month end accounts and fixed schedules, as determined by the parent company.
Dealing with unforeseen job management and accounting software problems that impact on the business.
The ability to speak French is a requirement due to complex discussions with our parent company.
