Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with business unit heads on budgeting, forecasting, profit and strategic planning to ensure sound liquidity position and cost control.
- Review and analyse financial and management reports and provide appropriate advice to senior management for decision making to meet corporate growth and financial strategies.
- Conducting competitive environment scanning, analysis and bench marking for the company's strategic planning, capital investment evaluations and business projects.
- Design, implement and monitor preventive and detective internal controls, policies and processes to safeguard company assets, reputation and customer relationship.
- Maintain strong internal control framework aligned with SOX/internal policies, ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements and identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Advise management on improving operational cost efficiency by analysing the monthly financial statements of representative offices.
- Make recommendation to improve processes to improve productivity and efficiency
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the steel industry.
- Strong accounting expertise and consolidated financial reporting.
- Effectively report to CFO and collaborate with Japan head office.
- Strong analytical skills with a logical and rational approach to problem-solving.
