Job Description

Financial Controller

Description

Our client is a prestigious global investment group headquartered in Singapore with a diverse portfolio spanning healthcare, financial services, and disruptive technology sectors. Known for their long-term vision and commitment to building champion businesses, the group maintains a significant international footprint. To support their continued expansion, they are seeking a commercially driven and meticulous Financial Controller to lead the Group Finance function.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will serve as a primary advisor to senior leadership, influencing group strategy through sophisticated financial planning and modelling. You will be responsible for the group-wide capital management framework, overseeing capital allocation, liquidity strategies, and rigorous cashflow forecasting across all subsidiaries. This role also provides vital support for M&A initiatives and treasury functions, including the management of banking relationships and FX exposure.

You will act as the custodian of the Group's financial integrity, ensuring robust governance and internal controls across the entire portfolio. Your mandate includes managing consolidated group reporting in accordance with SFRS/IFRS, driving tax optimization and transfer pricing strategies, and coordinating external audits. As a key steward of the firm's reputation, you will develop standardized reporting frameworks and prepare high-level financial presentations for Board review, elevating the finance department into a strategic business partner.

Qualifications

You are a Chartered Accountant with a degree in Accountancy or Finance and 10-15 years of professional experience, ideally beginning with a foundational tenure at a Big 4 firm. Experience within a multi-entity holding company, private equity-backed firm, or investment house is highly desirable. You must demonstrate advanced proficiency in group-level cashflow modeling, capital budgeting, and navigating Singapore's regulatory landscape.

A natural leader with high intellectual curiosity, you possess the professional gravitas to inspire confidence in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. You are a change agent who is energized by complex business-building and is comfortable navigating ambiguity without sacrificing quality. Exceptional communication skills are required to turn technical financial data into clear, strategic narratives for executive stakeholders. This role requires the flexibility to travel internationally to support the group's various operating companies.
