Our client is a global institutional bank looking for a seasoned Financial Controller to lead their Asia Finance function based in Singapore. This is a pivotal leadership role overseeing a strong team and partnering closely with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Financial Control and Regulatory Reporting activities for Asia, with Singapore as the primary focus.
- Oversee MAS reporting, statutory accounts, monthend close, and internal controls.
- Act as primary finance liaison for regulators; represent the bank in regulatory discussions.
- Partner closely with senior business leaders and support institutional banking products.
- Guide, coach, and develop a strong, experienced finance team.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvements in processes, governance, and reporting quality.
Key Requirements:
- 13+ years of relevant experience in Financial Control, Regulatory Reporting, or Finance leadership within international or institutional banking.
- Proven experience facing regulators (e.g., MAS) and handling regulatory reporting.
- Strong understanding of institutional banking products.
- Leadership capability: able to mentor, develop, and uplift a team of high-performing individuals.
- Comfortable operating in a matrix structure with multiple senior stakeholders.
- Adaptive, collaborative mindset, with confidence to represent Finance at senior forums.
