Job Description
Purpose
As a member of the Consumer Lines Financial Management team, this position is responsible for delivering insightful reporting on Asia Pacific's Accident & Health (A&H) and International Personal Lines (IPL) portfolios. You will work on the analysis of key business metrics, including but not limited to monthly performance commentary (regional/ COG), direct marketing projections, production monitoring, cost/revenue variance analysis, and Forecast/ Plan/ Actual reporting.
Beyond regular reporting, you will work closely with regional stakeholders to provide ad-hoc analysis and prepare impactful presentations for senior management.
This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with country A&H and IPL teams, regional product and functional heads, and the regional finance group, providing wide exposure to different stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Financial Performance Management
- Preparation of various regional/COG reports and commentary relating to financials (P&L tracker, production, acquisition, losses, Early view etc) and other business metrics (DM TARP to NWP projections, monthly executive reports etc).
- Distribution of monthly/quarterly/annual reports to regional heads, finance and COG
- Design and build financial templates required for business reporting.
- Provide support to local business analysts and act as a regional lead.
- Ensure Consumer Lines reports are up-to date and accurate at all time
- Support Ad-hoc reporting required by regional Consumer Lines Management.
- Assist with other ad-hoc financial requests from regional/country consumer lines team, regional finance etc
- Prepare presentation materials as required.
Plan and Forecast
- Assist in preparation of financial Forecasts, Annual Plan and Strat Plan on Chubb's financial system within deadlines.
Performance improvement and Business Development initiatives
- Identify, analyse & manage regional initiatives to improve Consumer Lines business financial performance and optimise COR ratio
- Involve in profitability testing & financial projections of new opportunities / new product proposals as required
Other
- Assist with various regional/global finance projects
- Assist with wider consumer lines financial requirements
- Preparation of quarterly SURC meeting schedules.
- Maintenance of Meridian and Genius systems product codes/PACPL/Stat Lines for Consumer Lines. Advice countries on appropriate codes to use
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, performance management or MIS role.
- Experience in Financial Services industry is preferred.
- Experience in using / knowledge in relational database such as TM1, MS Excel, MS Access, Cognos, is preferred.
- Experience in Power BI or similar data analysis tools is preferred.
- Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
- Excellent time management skills, well organized and able to effectively prioritize tasks to meet required deadlines
- Attention to detail, Good analytical skills, ability to communicate and articulate clearly financial concepts and drivers to non-finance audience would be preferred
