Job Description

About the Opportunity

If you think a financial advisory internship means memorising scripts, approaching your friends and learning how to sell, I'd like to show you a very different version of the industry.

I have spent the past 14 years building my career in financial advisory, including qualifying for the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) 8 times.

Today, I am looking to work closely with a small group of undergraduates, fresh graduates and existing Financial Advisory professionals who want to learn how a modern advisory practice is actually built.

That means combining:

• Financial advisory

• Business development

• Communication and client psychology

• Community building

• Personal branding

• AI and digital tools

• Systems, workflows and automation

• Real-world client and business exposure

This is not simply about learning how to sell financial products.

It is about learning how to build a professional advisory practice while embracing AI — how to find and serve clients, conduct meaningful financial conversations, build consistent prospecting systems, develop long-term relationships and eventually work towards benchmarks such as MDRT.

Having walked that route myself, I hope to shorten the learning curve by sharing the systems, lessons, mistakes and disciplines that took me years to understand.

At the same time, production should never come at the expense of professionalism.

My belief is simple:

Do the right thing.

Do it the right way.

And do it with the right people.

Who I Am Looking For

You may be:

• An undergraduate who wants meaningful real-world exposure beyond another line on your résumé

• A fresh graduate exploring financial services, entrepreneurship, sales, business development or advisory as a serious career

• An existing Financial Adviser who is working hard but wants more structure, coaching and consistency in building towards MDRT and beyond

You do not need to already be good at sales.

I am more interested in whether you are curious, coachable, driven and willing to learn.

What You Will Actually Learn

Depending on your stage, we may work on:

• Building sustainable prospecting and client-acquisition systems

• Using AI to research, organise, communicate and work more effectively

• Conducting proper financial needs analysis

• Communicating complex financial concepts simply

• Developing your own advisory style instead of relying on scripts

• Building referral and community-based prospecting channels

• Creating disciplined activity and follow-up systems

• Personal branding and content creation

• Managing and reviewing a growing client portfolio

• Developing the standards and mindset required to work towards MDRT consistently

• Exploring longer-term pathways into advisory, leadership and practice building

For Undergraduates

I also want this to be useful even if you eventually decide that financial advisory is not your career.

You should leave with stronger skills in communication, business development, AI, financial literacy, relationship management and presenting ideas — skills that travel well into almost any commercial career.

If you do discover that you enjoy this profession, there is then a much longer runway we can explore together.

The Bigger Objective

I do not believe MDRT should simply be a trophy.

It should be a by-product of becoming very good at what we do.

My objective is not merely to produce more MDRT qualifiers.

It is to develop advisers who can perform at a high level and still be advisers their clients are genuinely glad to have beside them many years later.

If you are looking for a shortcut, this probably is not for you.

But if you want real exposure, useful skills, strong mentorship and the opportunity to see how far you can take yourself, I would be happy to have a conversation.
