The accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the Group Finance Manager in reporting and compliance requirements. The role involves handling the full of accounting tasks, including month-end closings, reconciliations, tax reporting, and financial analysis.
Job Descriptions
Responsible for monthly closing process including preparation of journal entries, bank Reconciliations and schedules.
Responsible for monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports, statutory financial statements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Liaise with external auditor during annual statutory audits and other audit.
Assist with the preparation of tax return and liaise with external tax agent.
Other ad hoc finance related matters.
Job Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in using financial software and spreadsheet applications.
Experience in shipping industry would be an advantage.
Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident (PR) is preferred.
