The role is part of the Group Finance Systems team, which spans over UK and Singapore, and is responsible for delivering the systems environment needed to support the work of Global Finance and, through this, the wider Dyson organization.
About The Role
As a Finance Systems Intern, you'll help support our key finance platforms, primarily OneStreaman essential tool for finance consolidation and reporting. You'll assist with system operations during critical month-end and planning periods, and take part in projects that enhance system capability, resilience, and integration. This role offers hands-on experience with finance technology, cross-team collaboration, and exposure to global business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and planning activities and system readiness for financial reporting.
- Support the configuration, testing, and implementation of OneStream features.
- Develop and maintain scripts (using C#, VB.Net, or SQL) to automate routine tasks, improve data handling, and support reporting.
- Help finance users with system questions and create user guides or documentation.
- Collaborate with IT and functional teams to integrate OneStream with other systems and data sources.
- Monitor system performance, participate in troubleshooting, and suggest improvementsincluding script-based solutions.
- Support finance master data management, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and proper governance of critical data across systems.
About You
You're a quick learner with a curious mindset, keen to apply both business and technical skills. You enjoy solving problems through technology, are comfortable with basic scripting and data analysis, and thrive when working collaboratively.
Qualifications And Attributes
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with scripting/coding (C#, VB.Net, SQL, or similar languages)coursework or practical experience is a plus.
- Strong interest in financial systems, automation, and using technology to improve business processes.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Interest in system administration, setup, or user support.
- Solid communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic awareness of finance principles and a willingness to develop further.
