Job Scope
- Reporting to the Deputy Director, you will be responsible for the accounting and reporting of departments.
- You will assist in the planning and development of cost recovery strategies for these services where you will be required to perform cost allocations based on agreed basis.
- In addition, you will provide accounting services and support, and together with a team of staff under your charge, oversee timely and accurate accounting, reconciliation, claims reimbursements and reporting of all funded programmes for Research, Education, Regional Health and talent development.
- You will also support the annual budgeting and forecasting exercise of the departments and areas mentioned above.
- You shall also expect to assist in ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Deputy Director and/ or Chief Financial Officer.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or equivalent, with Chartered Accountant (CA) accreditation
- At least 6 years of relevant experience
- Good understanding of statutory and accounting reporting requirements, tax regulations and guidelines
- Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Knowledge in SAP will be an advantage
