Our client, a global healthcare solutions provider supporting pharmaceutical products and market access across multiple regions, is seeking a Finance Manager to support its growing operations in Southeast Asia.
This role will be responsible for managing end-to-end finance operations with strong exposure to international trade, import/export activities, multi-currency transactions, and group consolidation, working closely with regional and headquarters stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee financial accounting for the company's international and foreign trade operations, including transaction processing and month-end/year-end closing
- Support fund settlement for international business, including cross-border payments, inter-company transactions, and multi-currency reconciliations
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, coordinating with regional entities and headquarters to ensure timely and accurate group reporting
- Handle finance matters related to import and export activities, including trade-related tax treatment, customs duties, landed cost allocation, and reconciliation of logistics and trade documentation
- Monitor and manage foreign exchange (FX) exposure, supporting risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Prepare periodic financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis to support business and management decision-making
- Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal control policies, with a focus on Singapore and regional jurisdictions
- Apply and maintain compliance with international accounting standards, as well as local accounting and tax regulations
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other external stakeholders as required
- Support continuous improvement of finance processes, systems, and internal controls as the business scales
- Lead or support the setup of new accounting functions, financial processes, finance teams, and company entities in Singapore and across the region, including establishment of finance operations, compliance structures, and reporting frameworks
- Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
- At least 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably in an international, regional, or cross-border business environment
- Direct experience working with a pharmaceutical principal, pharmaceutical distributor, or pharmaceutical trading environment is strongly preferred
- Strong hands-on experience in import/export trade finance, including trade-related tax operations and foreign investment-related accounting
- Proven experience in consolidated financial reporting and intercompany accounting
- Good working knowledge of international accounting standards and strong familiarity with local accounting and tax regulations
- Demonstrated experience in setting up new finance teams, accounting functions, and foreign legal entities in regional markets will be highly advantageous
- Solid logical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in accounting systems and financial software ERP experience is an advantage
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced, growing organization with multiple stakeholders.
