About the role
Finance at Xnergy is about where the numbers are heading, not just where they've been. Your forecasts shape what we build, what we charge and how much we raise.

We're hiring someone with FP&A or financial analysis experience in manufacturing, electronics or hardware. We're open on level. If you've owned budgets and forecasts end to end and partnered closely with leadership, we'll bring you in as a Finance Manager. If you're earlier in that path, we'll bring you in as a Senior Analyst with room to grow into it. You'll work alongside our accountant, who looks after the books, so your time goes into analysis. You'll work directly with our founders and engineering, Solutions and sales leads.

What you'll do

• Build and own the annual budget and rolling forecasts
• Work out product costing and unit economics across our hardware and SaaS businesses
• Run monthly variance analysis and explain what's moving and why
• Build scenario models for fundraising, pricing and major decisions
• Prepare the numbers and narrative for board and investor packs
• Track cash and runway, and flag risks early

At Manager level, you'll also own the planning calendar, set up the forecasting process from scratch and be the founders go-to partner on financial decisions.

What you'll need

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
• 3+ years in FP&A or financial analysis, ideally in manufacturing, electronics or hardware
• Hands-on product costing: BOM, materials, labour and overheads
• Strong modelling in Excel or Google Sheets, built from scratch rather than inherited
• The ability to explain numbers plainly to engineers and founders
• Comfortable without a big finance team or polished systems

What will make you stand out

• 5+ years in FP&A, with time in a startup or high-growth company
• Experience presenting numbers to investors or lenders, or supporting a fundraise
• Modelling both hardware and recurring software (SaaS) revenue
• A CPA, ACCA or CFA
• Experience with an ERP or BI tool (e.g. Xero, NetSuite, SAP, Power BI)
