Finance Manager (Revenue Assurance)

Job Description

The Finance Manager will lead the Groups revenue accounting team and oversee revenue assurance controls. The role works closely with Product, Billing, IS and other stakeholders to assess new and bundled sales arrangements, determine the appropriate accounting treatment, resolve reconciliation issues and improve the systems and processes that support accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee revenue and direct cost accounting, monthly closing and financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and Group policies.
• Monitor revenue assurance controls and reconciliations investigate discrepancies, assess their impact and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain a record of revenue assurance issues and report key findings to stakeholders.
• Work with Product, Billing and IS teams to assess new products and ensure accounting processes and controls are in place before launch.
• Review accounting treatment papers and process documentation for revenue and direct costs.
• Oversee revenue assurance tools and support improvements to finance systems and reporting processes.
• Manage and develop the revenue accounting team, and undertake other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accountancy or an equivalent qualification, preferably with at least six years experience in audit, accounting or finance, including three years in a managerial role.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 15. Experience in product and telecommunications revenue accounting is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred knowledge of Power BI, SQL, R or Python is an advantage.
• Ability to investigate complex issues, assess their financial impact and develop practical solutions that account for business, system and accounting requirements.
• Confident communicator who can work across teams, present findings clearly and drive stakeholders towards resolution.
• Organised, resourceful and able to lead a team while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
