Job Description

Our client, an industry leader delivering large-scale projects across the region, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their team in Singapore. Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee the full suite of financial operations, with a strong focus on revenue recognition and cost management for long-term projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the full spectrum of financial operations, including month-end and year-end closing, general ledger, AP/AR, and statutory reporting
Manage revenue recognition for long-term contracts using the percentage-of-completion (POC) method, in line with SFRS(I) 15 / IFRS 15
Review project cost-to-complete estimates, margins, and work-in-progress positions together with project teams
Monitor project costs, analyse variances, and identify margin risks or opportunities
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and monthly management reports with clear insights and recommendations
Act as a finance business partner to senior management and project managers
Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and other stakeholders
Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and procedures

Requirements:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field professional qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA) preferred
Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience, including hands-on POC / contract accounting
Background in project-based industries such as construction, engineering, infrastructure, or energy is highly advantageous
Strong understanding of revenue and cost recognition for long-term contracts
Experience managing full-set accounts and statutory reporting
Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and hands-on
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
