Oversee accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, and cash management, to ensure smooth month-end closing.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Prepare and analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS and relevant accounting standards.
Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts track and report variances.
Manage group consolidation of financial statements, including intercompany eliminations, reconciliations and adjustments
Implement and monitor internal controls to protect company assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and prevent fraud.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performing work culture.
Review and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Communicate key financial information and insights to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and banks.
Coordinate statutory audits and tax processes to ensure timely completion of requirements and deadlines.
Liaise and collaborate with internal and external auditors, tax consultants, company secretary, banks, customers, supplies to manage financial matters effectively
Support management with projects and other initiatives as required.
Requirements:
Qualified accounting professional with a degree in Accounting or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or CFA)
Minimum 8-10 years of Finance/ Accounting Experience, preferably with Shipping industry experience
Strong understanding of IFRS, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software experience with Xero and/or NetSuite is preferred.
Proven ability to analyse complex financial data, identify trends, and resolve issues.
Strong communication skills, capable of presenting financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage teams effectively.
Independent, proactive, and able to perform under pressure with tight and multiple deadlines.
Strong multitasking abilities and a hands-on approach to problem solving.
Meticulous, self-driven, and eager to learn and grow professionally.
Strong command of both English and Chinese languages, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in both for business correspondence and stakeholder engagement.
