About Our Client
Our client is a well-established regional organisation operating across Southeast Asia, providing integrated solutions within the science and medical sectors. With a long-standing presence and a strong reputation in the market, they support innovation across research, diagnostics, and healthcare delivery through a combination of technical expertise and local market knowledge. They are now seeking a hands-on finance professional to lead and manage end-to-end finance and accounting operations while supporting business decision-making. This role involves overseeing a small team and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
Job Description
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, clear work allocation, and timely deliverables.
- Take ownership of the full set of accounts, including AP/AR, general ledger, cash flow management, and month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare and review monthly management reports, financial statements, cash flow analysis, forecasts, and annual budgets to support business planning and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with GST, tax filings, and statutory requirements, and act as the key point of contact with auditors, banks, and relevant regulatory authorities.
- Manage banking-related matters, including the review and processing of bank guarantees and letters of credit applications.
- Oversee and validate sales commission calculations to ensure accuracy and alignment with agreed structures.
- Prepare government statistical returns and support ad-hoc finance and business initiatives as required.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a recognised professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA).
- At least 4-5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong knowledge of local tax and regulatory requirements, with sound business acumen.
- Hands-on, proactive, well-organised, and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Sage, or similar), with strong analytical skills.
- A collaborative team player with effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
