Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full spectrum of accounting functions for the Company and its subsidiaries, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, and preparation of profit & loss statements and balance sheets.
- Prepare and submit consolidated financial reports to headquarters within stipulated timelines.
- Establish, review, and implement financial policies, systems, and internal controls to improve efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities with accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support management's strategic decisions.
- Handle corporate tax computations and filings, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
- Liaise with external auditors, prepare audit schedules, and facilitate smooth audit engagements.
- Administer payroll processing, staff claims, and reimbursement matters for the Company and subsidiaries.
- Monitor cash flow, banking transactions, and treasury-related activities.
- Undertake ad-hoc finance assignments and drive continuous process improvements.
Requirements:
- Possession of a recognized professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the freight forwarding, logistics, or related industries.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, group consolidation, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting systems.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership capability to supervise, guide, and mentor team members.
