The Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics (HOME www.home.org.sg) is a Singapore-based charity founded in 2004. We are dedicated to supporting and empowering migrant workers who experience abuse and exploitation.
Through crisis intervention, casework support, shelter services, skills training, and community programmes, HOME works to protect the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of migrant workers in Singapore.
Our work is driven by a simple belief: migrant workers deserve safety, justice, and the opportunity to live with dignity.
HOME is seeking an experienced and responsible Finance Manager to oversee the organisation's financial management and ensure strong financial governance.
The Finance Manager plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and donor requirements.
You will work closely with the Executive Director, Board, management team, and programme staff to ensure that HOME's financial systems remain robust, transparent, and aligned with our mission.
Financial Planning & Oversight
Develop and manage organisational budgets
Work closely with programme teams to support budget planning and financial tracking
Monitor financial performance and provide strategic financial advice to management
Support financial planning to ensure long-term sustainability
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management and the Board
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, charity reporting obligations, and tax submissions
Coordinate and manage external audits
Grant & Donor Financial Management
Track grant budgets and expenditures
Ensure compliance with funder reporting requirements
Support financial reporting for institutional donors and foundations
Internal Controls & Risk Management
Maintain strong financial policies and internal controls
Monitor financial risks and strengthen governance processes
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Manage day-to-day accounting functions using QuickBooks Online
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Payroll Administration
Process and manage payroll in accordance with regulatory requirements
Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
At least 3-5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience
Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred
Prior experience in the non-profit or charity sector is an advantage
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team
Applicants must be legally authorised to work in Singapore. We are unable to sponsor work passes for this role.
