Salling Search is recruiting a Finance Manager (Global Maritime & Trading) for an Integrated Shipping & Commodity Trading firm based in Singapore.
We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead the financial governance of the Singapore headquarters. This is a high-impact role for a professional who thrives in a boutique, collaborative environment and is capable of managing the financial complexities of a multi-jurisdictional trading operation with precision and agility.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to Senior Management, you will oversee the full spectrum of financial functions, ensuring the business remains commercially robust and compliant.
- Strategic Financial Oversight: Lead the accounting, taxation, and financial reporting functions. Conduct monthly deep-dive reviews of financial performance, providing the leadership team with data-driven insights.
- Governance & Internal Controls: Uphold a rigorous control environment to safeguard assets. Continuously evolve internal procedures to adapt to the regulatory landscapes of Singapore, Dubai, and the USA.
- Treasury & Liquidity Management: Supervise global treasury operations, including accurate cash flow forecasting, multi-currency reconciliations, and reporting to support the core trading function.
- Audit & Regulatory Compliance: Lead the External Audit process and manage regional taxation. Serve as the primary liaison for MPA (AIS) audit reviews and ensure compliance with maritime-specific schemes.
- Operational Coordination: Manage end-to-end payment processing across departments. Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline transaction flows and optimize vendor/owner relationships.
Requirements
- 5+ years of financial leadership within the maritime, shipping, or commodity trading sectors.
- Highly proficient in Xero with experience in multi-jurisdictional reporting.
- Familiarity with dry bulk shipping nuances and maritime regulatory requirements (MPA/AIS).
- Ability to collaborate across departments and present complex financial narratives to senior leadership.
