Job Summary
The Financial Manager leads finance functions including accounting, treasury, tax, audits, and compliance. To implement internal controls and compliance, lean management and support other business functions to drive profitability and growth and improve efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting and operations for onshore and offshore businesses to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Manage financial planning and analytics to support strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives
- Maintain balance sheet integrity and optimize working capital levels to enhance financial stability
- Deliver timely monthly financial reports to Group using the Hyperion Financial Management system
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors, tax agents, and bankers to ensure audit readiness and compliance with statutory requirements
- Ensure adherence to all Group and statutory requirements, including statistics reporting obligations
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes and systems for greater efficiency
- Implement and monitor key financial controls and compliance measures aligned with local and Group standards
- Collaborate with other departments to provide finance-related training and induction support for new staff
- Manage treasury functions by preparing cash forecasts and reporting to optimize liquidity management
- Provide guidance on accounting software features and ensure system compliance with statutory and Group requirements
- Support strategic projects including auditing related companies and managing intercompany transactions
- Assist operations teams with weekly P&L reviews, consolidation, and P&L projections for new bids and retention efforts
- Contribute to yearly budgeting and forecasting processes as required
Required competencies and certifications
- Chartered Accountant / CPA certification
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar financial management role
- Knowledge and experience in Singapore taxation including Corporate Tax, GST, Withholding Tax, and Employee tax
