JOB PURPOSE
The China Finance Manager will manage and provide support on financial and accounting matters, ensure compliance with US GAAP & PRC accounting principles, application of good corporate governance and control measures in the area of financial activities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage accounting team in monthly financial close functions in Oracle ERP (including accounts payable, general ledger, intercompany transactions, fixed asset), reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations, reporting and variance analysis.
- Operational support to country management, in expense forecasting & reporting, annual operating plan budget preparation, capital project analysis.
- Manage statutory audit, tax, and regulatory filings work closely 3rd party service providers to ensure company obligations are met.
- Lead and guide accounting team, provide performance coaching.
- Participate in systems enhancement and testing when required.
DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES
- Degree in Finance/Accounting, or equivalent.
- 10 years relevant experience in a finance and accounting managing role with prior experience gained from US multinational/MNC environment, preferably including audit background.
- Strong and fluent English communication skills.
- Strong Excel & ERP system experience (Oracle/SAP or equivalent) and reporting tools (SmartView, Essbase and others).
- Demonstrated strong professional integrity, ability to juggle concurrent demands, maintain a keen eye for detail, and perseverance to accomplish results.
