Finance Manager, Captive Management

What the day will look like

  • Coordinate daily operations and monthly/quarterly close of captives by supervising and providing mentorship to the Aon central processing team on accounting matters.
  • Assist with reconciliation and address queries from the Group consolidation team following Group submission.
  • Manage banking matters, including technical issues, and KYC reviews.
  • Assist with Group Reporting and Statutory Reporting to various regulatory bodies.
  • Handle insurance regulatory submissions and government surveys.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors as well as tax agents from various jurisdictions during audits.
  • Prepare IFRS 17 Audit Financial Statements.
  • Review Corporate Governance Framework periodically to ensure compliance through monthly risk assessments.
  • Manage company secretarial matters and coordinate with secretarial agents.
  • Address administrative matters as they arise.
  • Support the implementation of systems, initiatives, projects, and strategies driven by either Aon or clients.
  • Facilitate Board meetings, prepare Board materials, and take responsibility for Board minutes.
  • Deliver timely results within tight deadlines while ensuring compliance.
  • Support ad-hoc client requests.
  • Engage in ad-hoc projects to support the business, such as governance framework and long-term plan implementation.
  • Support and enact the Firm's decisions and strategies.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the Captive industry and related trends.

    Skills and Experience that will lead to success
  • Strong skills in financial reporting and analysis, including experience with monthly/quarterly close processes, reconciliation, and group consolidation.
  • Solid understanding of technical accounting matters, insurance regulatory submissions, and government surveys.
  • Knowledge of IFRS17 and experience working with auditors and tax agents.
  • Ability to lead projects, develop plans, and governance frameworks, and support global initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills for facilitating board meetings, preparing materials, and managing board minutes.
  • Ability to collaborate directly with a senior finance manager and interact with different partners.
  • In-depth understanding of the captive industry and associated trends.
  • Ability to achieve outcomes within strict deadlines and handle spontaneous client requests efficiently.
