POSITION SUMMARY:
The Finance Manager is responsible for all aspects of the accounting function and internal controls/procedures. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the effective use of financial resources to support business objectives. The Finance Manager will produce regular financial reports, provide strategic insights, and collaborate closely with the broader finance team and senior leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Leadership
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Lead and mentor a small finance team, ensuring operational excellence and professional development
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- Analyze financial data, trends, and KPIs to provide actionable insights and recommendations
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance
Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial records
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of financial and management reports
- Respond to financial inquiries from regional finance teams and senior management
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including SFRS and US GAAP
- Review GST submissions and annual tax filings to IRAS
- Support internal and external audits
- Uphold corporate governance standards and enhance internal control frameworks
Process Improvement & Systems
- Drive finance transformation projects, including automation and reporting enhancements
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, systems, and data integrity
EDUCATION:
Degree in Accountancy or ACCA/equivalent.
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- At least 8 years of experience in a similar role, with supervisory responsibilities.
- Prior external audit and working in a US MNC is preferred.
