Reporting To: Head of Finance
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the company's daily finance operations while ensuring timely financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and sound financial controls. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in managing accounting functions, supporting business operations, and driving continuous process improvements.
This position is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys being involved in both operational accounting and financial reporting within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Analyse financial performance and investigate significant variances.
- Prepare weekly financial and operational performance reports.
- Process month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and adjustments.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial records.
Financial Operations
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Review supplier invoices, payment schedules and supplier reconciliations.
- Monitor customer collections and credit control.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Process company credit card expenses and expense claims.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor departmental spending against approved budgets.
- Support financial planning and business performance analysis.
Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare GST reconciliations and quarterly GST submissions.
- Assist in corporate tax computation and tax schedules.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and statutory requirements.
Fixed Assets & Audit
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and monitor capital expenditure.
- Prepare depreciation schedules and Capex analysis.
- Coordinate year-end closing and external audit requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents and regulatory authorities.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with department heads on finance-related matters.
- Liaise with suppliers, banks, system providers and external consultants.
- Support finance process improvements and system enhancements.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Finance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CA Singapore is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GST, month-end closing, budgeting and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
