Senior Finance Manager
Reporting To: Head of Finance
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to lead the finance function and support the Head of Finance in driving financial strategy, governance, and business performance. The successful candidate will oversee the full spectrum of finance operations, provide commercial financial insights, strengthen internal controls, and lead the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Lead and oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations.
- Review monthly management accounts, financial statements and board reports.
- Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Support strategic planning, budgeting and long-term financial forecasting.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital and business performance.
Team Leadership
- Lead, supervise and develop the finance team.
- Review work prepared by finance executives and accountants.
- Establish best practices, strengthen internal controls and improve finance processes.
- Drive automation and digitalisation initiatives within the finance function.
Financial Operations
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Treasury functions.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Review reconciliations, journals and financial schedules.
- Monitor debtor collections and supplier payments.
Compliance & Governance
- Oversee GST submissions, corporate tax and statutory reporting.
- Ensure compliance with SFRS, IRAS and ACRA requirements.
- Coordinate annual statutory audits and regulatory filings.
- Develop and maintain finance policies and internal control frameworks.
Business Partnering
- Partner with department heads to support operational and commercial decisions.
- Provide financial analysis for new business initiatives and investment proposals.
- Evaluate business performance through KPI and variance analysis.
- Support management with financial modelling and decision-making.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the key finance contact for auditors, tax consultants, bankers and external stakeholders.
- Lead finance-related projects, ERP enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
- Support the Head of Finance in strategic and ad hoc assignments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent.
- ACCA, CPA, CA Singapore or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- At least 3 years of managerial or team leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST and corporate tax.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial analysis.
- Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to influence business decisions.
