Finance Intern

Key Responsibilities

Finance Analytics & Business Partnering

• Support the preparation and analysis of annual budgets, forecasts and management reports across B+C, I+E business lines
• Assist in consolidating financial submissions from countries and sectors for management review
• Analyse variances against budget, forecast and prior year performance and identify key business drivers
• Support preparation of executive presentations and financial commentary for senior management

Business Partnering Support

• Assist finance business partners in reviewing project performance, revenue trends, profitability and overhead costs
• Support the preparation of analysis for sector reviews and business performance discussions
• Help gather and validate financial and operational data from stakeholders across various regions

Working Capital & Cash Flow Improvement

• Support analysis of Accounts Receivable (AR), Work-In-Progress (WIP), DSO and DWO metrics
• Assist in identifying working capital hotspots and preparing follow-up trackers
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving billing, collections and cash flow performance

Systems, Data Analytics & Process Improvement

• Assist in maintaining and validating financial data within reporting and planning systems e.g., OneStream, PowerBI and ERP systems
• Support data cleansing, reconciliations and reporting automation initiatives
• Help document finance processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
• Participate in finance digitalisaiton and AI-related initiatives where applicable

Audit & Governance

• Support statutory audit activities by preparing schedules, supporting documents and reconciliations
• Assist in ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial information used for reporting and analysis
• Help maintain financial documentation and audit trails

Ad-hoc Projects

• Participate in special projects relating to business performance, profitability improvement, cost optimization, process transformation and management reporting
• Perform other finance-related analyses and administrative support as required

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related discipline
• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting concepts
• Experience with Power BI, data visualization, automation tools or programming is advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and collaborate with stakeholders across different teams and regions
