Finance Intern – Renewable Energy

Headquartered in Singapore, Equis Development Pte. Ltd. (Equis) is Asia-Pacifics leading renewable energy and waste infrastructure developer and operator with a successful track of record of having developed over 200 renewable energy and waste infrastructure projects across the region.

With offices in Singapore, Australia, Japan, and South Korea, Equis is focused on developing, constructing, and operating primary and hybrid renewable energy and biomass generation, battery energy storage systems and waste infrastructure assets in Australia, Japan, and South Korea.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a finance intern with an interest in financial analysis and reporting, to provide insights to support decision making. It would be advantageous if the candidate has experience in data management and data visualisation tools.

This role will support the finance team with carrying out financial analysis, process improvement initiatives and developing data visualisation tools. This role will work closely with the global finance team to identify opportunities to streamline data management processes, enhance data quality and improve overall efficiency within the finance team.

The candidate will be exposed to a wide variety of infrastructure projects, including renewable energy, battery energy storage systems, waste to energy and biomass. Located in Singapore corporate office, the role will work closely with management including the Group CFO and Group Financial Controller.

THE ROLE

Assist the finance team with the following:

• Building and optimising financial processes, related systems, and data to improve efficiency
• Driving process improvement initiatives, including developing visualisation tools, dashboards, and templates to facilitate analysis across the group
• Assisting the team in building presentations for senior management and investors
• Liaise and work with other Equis offices in Korea, Japan, Australia and offshore accounting team to compile information and data
• Other ad hoc project work and support to be provided to the overall team

YOUR EXPERTISE

We are looking for a candidate who is

• Passionate about infrastructure and / or private equity, preferably with a focus on the renewables / climate sector
• Highly numerate with developed quantitative capabilities
• Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Powerpoint
• Proficient in creating compelling visual representation of complex data sets using tools like Power BI is a plus.
• Has an understanding of data management and governance, experience in using SQL is a plus.
• Curious and analytical with good numerical skills
• Has strong work ethic and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
