Job Description

Our Client is a dynamic and growing building materials company serving Singapore's construction and building sectors. With a strong reputation for reliability, innovation, and sustainable practices, they are expanding the team and seeking a driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join them as their Finance & HR Senior Executive / Assistant Manager.

This dual-function role offers the opportunity to play a key part in both financial operations and HR matters, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and impact in their work.

As this is a newly created role, the jobholder needs to be someone who is ready to be a very hands on person.

The office location is near to Pioneer area in Jurong, nearest Boon Lay MRT (EW27) is 19 mins away.

Applicants need to be aware that our Client operates on a five and a half day (alternate Saturday) work arrangement.

.We welcome driven individuals who may have less experience but the ambition to grow into this position..

Key Responsibilities

Finance

  • Oversee daily finance operations including AP, AR, GL, and cash flow management.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide financial insights to management for business decisions and cost control.

Human Resources

  • Manage end-to-end HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, payroll (management staff), performance appraisal, and employee relations.
  • Develop HR policies and ensure compliance with Singapore's employment laws (MOM guidelines, CPF, etc.).
  • Partner with line managers to identify training needs and implement staff development initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement, welfare programs, and retention strategies.
  • Support organizational growth through effective workforce planning and talent management.

Requirements

  • Degree / Diploma in Accounting, Finance, HRM, or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience, with exposure to both Finance and HR functions experience in the construction or building materials industry is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore statutory and regulatory requirements (IRAS, CPF, MOM).
  • Proficient in accounting/HR systems and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Meticulous, hands-on, and resourceful with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills able to work across departments and with management.
