Wah & Hua Pte Ltd is a multi-material recycling and waste management company providing collection services for recyclables to businesses ranging from small enterprises to large corporations.

Job Summary

Manage full-cycle accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accurate financial transactions, timely payments, and effective cash flow monitoring. Support month-end closing, reporting, and interdepartmental coordination to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable invoices and payments accurately and timely by verifying vendor invoices against supporting documents
  • Ensure all vendor invoices receive proper approval before payment processing
  • Prepare and monitor vendor aging reports to track outstanding payables
  • Perform statement of accounts reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy
  • Respond promptly to payment-related inquiries to maintain vendor relationships
  • Monitor and update daily cash flow to support financial planning
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to verify cash balances
  • Prepare weekly cash flow and relevant financial reports for management review
  • Follow up on accounts receivable payments within agreed terms to optimize cash collection
  • Identify long overdue or high-risk customers and recommend appropriate action plans
  • Execute intercompany billing and transactions to maintain accurate internal records
  • Prepare management reports to support decision-making
  • Perform month-end closing activities to finalize financial records
  • Assist in GST submission to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to resolve financial issues efficiently
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned to support finance operations

Required competencies and certifications

  • Minimum LCCI or Diploma in Finance/Accountancy
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts payable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Experience using ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Navision 2016
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Detail-oriented with diligence and strong organizational skills
  • Positive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Ability to multitask effectively and maintain meticulous records

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Navision 2016 (not essential but advantageous)
