Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Executive to manage and support the financial, accounting, and administrative functions of our precious metals recycling and trading operations.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, possess strong analytical skills, and be comfortable handling financial transactions, reporting, and customer settlements.
This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic international business environment with exposure to precious metals trading and hedging activities.
Responsibilities
Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and reconciliations.
Coordinate customer hedging instructions, price confirmations, and accurately record transactions and settlements in the company's in-house system.
Prepare customer settlement reports and related financial documentation.
Process supplier and customer payments, including payment follow-ups.
Assist in precious metals hedging transactions and maintain accurate transaction records.
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports.
Support GST reporting, audit preparation, and compliance requirements.
Liaise with customers, suppliers, auditors, and financial institutions.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
Support general administrative and office operations when required.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.
Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software experience with Xero would be an advantage.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Able to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in commodities trading, precious metals, or international transactions would be an added advantage.
