Job Description

Work Location:
Bugis Area

Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm

Compensation:
Annual Wage Supplement (AWS) provided.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Operations & Management

  • Execute day-to-day finance tasks, including accounts data entry, invoicing, and payment processing.
  • Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
  • Process staff expense claims, petty cash, and reimbursements.
  • Perform bank deposits, cash flow tracking, and assist with bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation and filing systems.
  • Support statutory filings such as GST, CPF, and related compliance requirements.
  • Assist with audit preparation, documentation, and respond to audit queries.
  • Facilitate monthly account closing, ensuring timely preparation and submission of financial reports.
  • Prepare monthly management reports and business performance analysis presentations.
  • Review and verify expenses for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in annual budget preparation and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare and submit annual statutory accounts as per regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare quarterly GST returns and annual corporate tax filings.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for Annual General Meetings (AGMs).
  • Liaise with external auditors during annual statutory audits.
  • Review existing finance practices and processes, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.

2. Cost Management, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Monitor, track, and analyze operational and project-related costs within logistics and warehousing.
  • Compare monthly expenditures against budgets, highlighting variances and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare cost estimates to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Generate reports on cost performance, budget utilization, and EBITDA trends.

3. Contract Administration

  • Maintain and update customer and supplier contract records, ensuring timely renewals.
  • Support negotiations of commercial terms and ensure proper documentation of agreements.

4. Accounts Payable Management

  • Oversee vendor onboarding processes, manage vendor relations, and process payments.
  • Ensure adherence to audit and internal policy requirements.
  • Coordinate with operational and management teams to obtain requisite approvals and resolve payment issues.

5. Accounts Receivable Management

  • Monitor outstanding accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Coordinate the resolution of billing disputes and maintain up-to-date billing records.

6. Corporate Governance & Reporting

  • Assist in preparing financial reports for internal management and joint venture partners.
  • Liaise with outsourced finance teams and corporate secretaries on matters related to board meetings, statutory filings, and compliance initiatives.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for financial governance topics.

Requirements

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Mandarin, enabling effective communication with stakeholders and supporting operations across multiple regions, including Mainland China.
  • Experience: 3-6 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
  • Academic Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Accountancy, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: CA/CPA certification preferred full qualification is a distinct advantage.
  • Technical Expertise:
    In-depth knowledge of IFRS, SFRS, and US GAAP, with direct experience in preparing financial statements.
    Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
    Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) ability to function independently without a WMS/ERP system.
