As an Account Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the finance department. The ideal candidate should be a detailed-oriented and organized individual who possess basic accounting skills and adept at handling variety tasks to support the overall functioning of the department.
Your key responsibilities are as follow:
- Handle day-to-day accounts receivable and payable duties using AutoCount, including invoicing, payment processing, and follow-ups
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in the accounting system
- Manage petty cash reimbursements and conduct monthly bank reconciliations
- Support inventory management, including stock movements and participation in half-yearly and annual stock counts
- Assist in month-end closing, GST submissions, and audit preparation
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and good corporate governance practices
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
- Diploma in Accountancy, LCCI, CAT, or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in AutoCount accounting system and Microsoft Office
- Meticulous, responsible, and well-organised with a positive learning attitude
- Good interpersonal and communication skills able to work independently and as a team player
- Responsible, discreet, and trustworthy with confidential information
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
