Finance Director

The Position:

This senior role offers the chance to lead the finance function of an established international school in Singapore. Reporting directly to the Head of School and working closely with the executive management team, you will take full ownership of financial leadership, including strategy, governance, planning, and oversight of day-to-day operations. The position entails substantial responsibility and provides meaningful influence over the schools financial direction and future development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and compliance
• Partner with senior leadership on strategic planning, investment decisions, and risk management
• Support the CEO with financial modelling and financial projections to support executive decision-making and operational planning
• Present financial insights, reports, and recommendations to the Board and Finance Committee
• Ensure best practices in internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory compliance, particularly within the education sector
• Manage external relationships with auditors, regulators, banks, and legal advisors

Skills & Experience:

You will be a Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent) with at least 15 years of progressive finance leadership, ideally with experience in the Education sector. Strong command of financial strategy, governance, and forecasting is essential, as are advanced Excel skills and financial modelling ability. This role will suit a seasoned, proactive finance leader who is equally comfortable engaging at board level and rolling up sleeves in a lean, hands-on environment.
