About the role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Director will own the complete finance function for the Singapore entity and international expansion. This is a hands-on, high-impact role bridging regulatory compliance (MAS/HKMA/FinCEN), financial operations, and investor readiness as we prepare for capital raise.
Key responsibilities
- Own all financial regulatory obligations across MAS, HKMA, and FinCEN entities, including but not limited to capital adequacy monitoring, regulatory returns, and daily e-money safeguarding trust account reconciliation.
- Build and oversee accounting, tax, multi-currency treasury, month-end close, and external audit processes from the ground up. Implement scalable, audit-ready financial controls.
- Develop and maintain the company's financial model (unit economics, corridor revenue, runway). Build the investor data room and support the CEO through due diligence and pitch cycles.
- Partner with the CEO on capital allocation, trade settlement pricing strategy, and banking relationship management.
About you
- Degree in Accounting/Finance with CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
- 7-10+ years of progressive finance leadership, ideally within an MAS-regulated entity (Payment Institution, Digital Bank, or Fintech).
- Strong knowledge of MAS Payment Services Act obligations, capital adequacy, and e-money safeguarding rules. Multi-currency/FX settlement knowledge preferred.
- Proven capability in financial modelling, unit economics analysis, and investor due diligence support.
- Singapore-based with business fluency in English and Mandarin to collaborate effectively across local and Greater China stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial, execution-focused, and comfortable building within ambiguity.
