Finance Director (Start up - Personal Care / FMCG)

The Company

Our client is a rapidly growing startup revolutionizing feminine hygiene across Asia. With a strong footprint in Asia, they are scaling fast and seeking a Finance Director to join their dynamic leadership team.

The Role

In this leadership role, you will manage a team and play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy and operational excellence across multiple markets while ensuring robust financial governance and insight-driven decision-making.

Your responsibilities include:

• Lead end-to-end finance operations, including accounting, reporting, treasury, and internal controls.
• Oversee group consolidation and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting across all entities.
• Drive FP&A processes: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and commercial insights.
• Manage cashflow, treasury, banking relationships, and optimize working capital.
• Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and statutory requirements across markets.
• Partner with founders on strategic finance initiatives, including market expansion and investment decisions.
• Mentor and develop a regional finance team, fostering operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Your Profile

As the successful candidate, you will possess a degree in Accountancy or ACCA with the following relevant experience:

• CPA/CA
• 10-15+ years of finance leadership experience, ideally in FMCG, consumer goods, or retail.
• Proven track record in multi-entity operations, consolidation, and financial governance.
• Strong FP&A and commercial finance expertise with deep understanding of pricing, trade spend, and margin analysis.
• Prior experience in a high growth/start up environment will be ideal but not essential
• Proficient with Advanced Excel and ERP experience (Microsoft NAV/Dynamics 365)
• Proactive, energetic, hands-on, ability to thrive in a high-growth environment with complex challenges.
