Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnering
- Serve as the primary strategic finance partner to the APAC Director & GM and country heads
- Translate business strategy into financial outcomes, modelling scenarios across product lines (Marine, PCMO, MCO, Industrial, OEM, White Label).
- Drive commercial decision-making: pricing, margins, product/channel profitability, market entry, JV/toll-blending evaluations.
- Lead the financial component of regional growth strategy, including capacity expansion, new plant investments, supply-chain optimisation, and M&A.
Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Own the annual operating plan, strat plan, and rolling forecasts.
- Build best-in-class analytical models, dashboarding (Power BI/SAP/Monday), and ROIC-driven decision frameworks.
- Ensure visibility of margin drivers (base oil, additives, FX, logistics, blending costs, overhead absorption).
Commercial Finance & Margin Management
- Oversee deal economics, customer profitability, contract terms, rebates, incentives and credit risk.
- Lead pricing governance across APAC, ensuring margin integrity in volatile feedstock markets.
- Partner with supply chain to optimise landed cost, production cost, procurement and inventory turns.
Financial Control, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliant, timely, accurate financial reporting across all APAC entities.
- Strengthen internal controls, audit readiness, and governance systems.
- Manage tax planning, transfer pricing, intercompany flows and treasury across multiple jurisdictions.
- Oversee credit, FX exposure and working capital discipline.
Operations, Supply Chain & Manufacturing Finance
- Partner closely with ops leaders to optimise plant economics, toll-blending costs, SKU rationalisation and capex ROI.
- Build strong cost-tracking mechanisms for production, warehousing, logistics and procurement.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning, inventory and S&OP.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead and develop a high-performing regional finance team to manage multiple markets.
- Build a culture of transparency, accountability and collaboration.
- Strengthen business acumen across finance and non-finance teams through training and cross-functional processes.
Key Skills and Personal Attributes
Professional Experience
- 15+ years total experience minimum 5 years in a regional finance leadership role.
- Industry background in lubricants, chemicals, FMCG and process industries preferred.
- Strong experience in manufacturing P&Ls, supply chain finance, product costing, and multi-country operations.
- Proven track record as a commercial CFO - pricing, deals, scenario modelling, margin recovery, commercial governance.
- Experience supporting white-label/OEM manufacturing is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with SAP, Power BI, or similar analytics/ERP tools.
Skills & Competencies
- Highly analytical with strong business judgement.
- Exceptional commercial acumen and negotiation ability.
- Strong command of financial modelling, valuation, working capital, and ROI analysis.
- Able to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in fast-growth environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management: local teams, global HQ, JV partners, auditors.
- Hands-on and comfortable rolling up sleeves.
