Finance Director

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Finance Director for our sister company to oversee the Company's regional finance operations. This role will be responsible for building and optimizing financial governance, accounting systems, tax structures, and compliance frameworks while supporting business growth and cost efficiency initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a commercially driven finance professional who combines strong accounting expertise with operational and strategic business partnership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Accounting Operations

. Oversee full set of accounting and financial reporting across multiple regional entities (Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, China, and USA).

. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.

. Develop and standardize finance policies, processes, and internal control frameworks across regions.

2. Compliance, Audit & Tax Optimization

. Ensure full compliance with statutory accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and audit obligations.

. Lead external audit coordination and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.

. Drive tax planning and optimization strategies while ensuring regulatory compliance.

. Identify financial and regulatory risks and implement mitigation measures.

3. Financial Strategy & Cost Optimization

. Partner with senior leadership to drive cost efficiency and improve financial performance.

. Identify opportunities for operational and process improvement.

. Support profitability enhancement initiatives and financial planning strategies.

. Provide financial insights to support business expansion and operational investment decisions.

4. Financial System & Structure Development

. Design and implement scalable finance systems, reporting structures, and automation initiatives.

. Strengthen financial data integrity and transparency across business units.

. Improve cross-border financial process integration and workflow efficiency.

5. Team Leadership & Capability Development

. Lead and mentor the regional finance team, provide guidance, coaching, and development planning for team members.

. Foster a performance-driven, accountable, and collaborative finance team culture.

6. Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management

. Act as a strategic finance partner to regional business leaders.

. Provide commercial financial analysis to support business planning and performance monitoring.

Requirements

. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) preferred.

. Experience managing full spectrum accounting, audit, tax, and compliance functions.

. Experience working in multi-country financial environments.

. Hands-on accounting and financial operations experience.

. Strong commercial mindset with demonstrated track record in cost optimization and financial value creation.

. High level of ownership, initiative, and proactive problem-solving skills.

. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
