Job Descriptions:
Oversees and manages the accounting, financing, tax and company secretarial matters of the Group of companies, which includes one Singapore Company and two Malaysia subsidiaries.
This role partners closely with senior leadership to drive profitability, support business decisions, and ensure strong financial governance across multiple projects.
Accounting
- Analysis of the group and company accounts.
- Oversees the consolidation of the Group.
- Oversees the accounts of the 3 companies mentioned above.
- Liaise with the company factories to compile the material balances and movements in and out of Singapore and Malaysia and to project sites.
- Oversees the compilation and calculation of the contract assets and liabilities.
Financing
- Maintains good relationship with banks and financial institutions
- Oversees the weekly cashflow
- Oversee FP&A including budgeting, forecasting, project performance analysis, and cashflow/working capital management
- Manage project finance covering POC (Percentage-of-claim)revenue recognition, WIP (Work-in-Progress), cost control, and tender/contract risk evaluation.
- Oversee risk management
Taxation
- Liaise with tax agents on current and prior year tax queries from IRAS.
- Ensure compliance with IRAS and finance reporting standards, including tax and GST matters with IRAS of Singapore, while maintaining strong internal controls.
Company Secretarial
- Liaise with company secretary to ensure all board matters, AGMs and Annual Returns are properly transacted and documented
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
- Professional qualification such as CPA Singapore / ACCA / CA preferred
- Minimum 15 years of progressive corporate finance/accounting experience, with at least 8 years in asenior leadership role.
- Strong experience in the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sector
- Deep understanding of project accounting, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, and contract management
- Proven track record in managing construction projects finances and leading teams
- Preferred with MNC work experience.
- Preferred Accountant license holder.
