1. Strategic Business Partnering
- Collaborate closely with IT leadership, product managers, and project teams to align financial goals with operational strategies.
- Act as a trusted advisor, translating financial insights into actionable business strategies.
- Support investment decisions in technology, infrastructure, cloud services, and R&D.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Provide variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) and recommend corrective actions.
- Evaluate the financial viability of new IT projects, such as software implementations or cloud migrations.
3. Cost Optimization & Control
- Monitor IT cost drivers (e.g., cloud spending, licenses, headcount, hardware depreciation).
- Support cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure capex vs. opex classification is compliant with accounting standards.
4. Business Case & ROI Analysis
- Build and review business cases for IT projects and initiatives (e.g., new systems, digital transformation).
- Analyze ROI, payback period, and NPV for projects.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management or investment committees.
5. Stakeholder Management
- Work across departments (e.g., IT, procurement, operations, HR) to understand needs and constraints.
- Communicate financial insights in a non-technical, business-friendly manner.
- Present reports and insights to regional or global HQ, especially in MNCs.
6. Data Analytics & Reporting
- Leverage BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAP, Oracle) to provide real-time dashboards and reports.
- Use data analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
7. Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, tax regulations, and audit standards in Singapore (e.g., IRAS, GST, MAS guidelines).
- Assist with internal and external audits, and maintain proper documentation for IT-related expenses.
8. Technology Enablement
- Partner in the adoption of financial systems/tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).
- Contribute to automation and digital finance initiatives (e.g., robotic process automation for finance processes).
Requirements
- Degree in Finance and Accounting with at least 8 years of experience in FP&A and or Finance Business Partnering.
- Experience in handlnig large-scale projects.
- Able to work independently.
