Job Description
Finance Business Partner
Our client is looking for a finance professional with strong FP&A, business partnering, costing, and ERP experience to support strategic growth and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business units and stakeholders to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance tracking, including preparation of monthly FP&A reports, management commentary, and presentations for senior leadership.
- Develop financial models, evaluate business cases, and analyse pricing, new product development, and market expansion opportunities.
- Monitor spending trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support efficient resource allocation.
- Provide financial reporting, recommendations, and ad hoc analysis to support business needs.
- Review financial results across Group entities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Analyse production cost variances, identify root causes, and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
- Investigate and resolve inconsistencies between financial results and supporting narratives.
- Serve as the SAP Business One subject matter expert, overseeing master data, system configuration, mapping, and user access.
- Coordinate with IT teams and external vendors to resolve system issues and minimise disruption.
- Support month-end, year-end, tax, audit, and statutory reporting processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Manage designated filings, including Stamp Duty, Withholding Tax (WHT), and Gross Turnover (GTO) verification for retail leases.
- Strengthen financial controls, reporting processes, and governance frameworks.
- Monitor financial risks and compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
- Drive finance process improvements, automation initiatives, and SAP Business One optimisation, including enhancements to production costing methodologies.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field CA (Singapore), ACCA, or CPA qualification preferred. Candidates with relevant experience working towards qualification are welcome to apply.
- At least 5 years of finance experience, with strong exposure to FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business partnering.
- Able to communicate financial information clearly and provide practical insights to support business decisions.
- Good understanding of manufacturing finance, including costing and variance analysis.
- Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, with strong Excel skills. Experience with automation or AI tools is an advantage.
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or multi-entity environments is preferred.
- Detail-oriented, hands-on, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify causes of financial variances.
- Process-driven with a focus on controls, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Confident communicator who can work with stakeholders across different functions and present to senior management.
- Keen interest in technology, automation, and AI, with a proactive approach to improving finance processes.
