Finance Business Partner (FP&A | Fintech & Payments)

A fast-growing global fintech platform is looking to hire a senior finance professional to strengthen its commercial finance and FP&A capabilities. This is a highly visible role partnering closely with sales and business leaders, using financial and operational data to understand performance, identify opportunities and support commercial decision-making. The role will also lead a small shared services finance team in India.

Key Responsibilities

FP&A & Commercial Finance

• Own budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and performance analysis across the business.
• Partner closely with sales and commercial teams to understand revenue performance, customer trends, pricing and profitability.
• Analyse performance across products, markets and payment corridors, identifying what is driving growth and where performance is falling short.
• Develop and track financial and operational KPIs, translating results into clear recommendations for management.
• Own the numbers and confidently present financial performance and business insights to senior stakeholders.
• Support scenario analysis, business cases and commercial decision-making as the company continues to scale.

Data & Business Insights

• Work with large and complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies and commercial opportunities.
• Build and improve dashboards and management reporting using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Improve the quality and accessibility of financial and operational information across the organisation.
• Partner with business and technology teams to improve finance systems, reporting processes and data flows.

Finance Leadership

• Lead and develop a small finance team of approximately 2–3 people.
• Work closely with the company's shared services operation in India, with quarterly travel to India.
• Ensure strong collaboration between commercial finance, accounting and shared services teams.
• Support ongoing finance transformation and process improvement initiatives as the business grows.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline with a professional qualification such as CA, CPA or ACCA.
• Big 4 audit training followed by relevant commercial finance experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience across FP&A, financial analysis and business partnering.
• Experience within fintech, payments, banking or a closely related financial services environment is essential.
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau or similar data visualisation/reporting tools would be highly advantageous.
• Able to independently own financial performance, challenge the business and present findings clearly.
• Previous team leadership experience is useful, although extensive people-management experience is not required.
