Job Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Finance / Accounts Manager to oversee the day-to-day finance operations of a banking environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting operations, SAP system management and ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of financial transactions.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, management accounts and financial statements.

• Handle month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries and variance analysis.

• Manage financial data and transactions using SAP, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of financial information.

• Monitor budgets, expenses, cash flow and financial performance, highlighting any discrepancies or unusual movements.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, banking regulations, internal policies and financial control procedures.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, auditors and relevant departments on financial reporting, audits and accounting matters.

• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, strengthen internal controls and enhance operational efficiency.

• Support financial planning, budgeting and forecasting activities as required.

• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of financial records for audit and compliance purposes.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP, particularly in finance and accounting modules.

• Good knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger, account reconciliation and month-end closing processes.

• Familiarity with accounting standards, financial controls and regulatory requirements within the banking industry.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and numerical skills with good attention to detail.

• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
