What you'll do:
As a Finance Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth operation of the finance function by managing journal entries, daily cash positions, assisting with payment processing, maintaining essential banking documentation, and performing detailed reconciliations.
- Monitor daily cash positions across multiple entities and assist in preparing accurate cash flow forecasts to ensure effective liquidity management.
- Support the execution of payments by processing transactions with precision while adhering strictly to internal controls and approval workflows.
- Maintain up-to-date bank mandates, standing instructions, and account documentation to guarantee seamless banking operations.
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts across various currencies, investigating and resolving unidentified transactions promptly.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, client money rules, regulatory requirements, and support SOX control documentation through diligent testing and evidence gathering.
- Assist with both internal and external audits related to treasury processes by providing timely and accurate information as required.
- Participate actively in initiatives aimed at enhancing treasury processes through automation and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate closely with finance teams on system enhancements and continuous improvement projects that drive operational excellence.
- Respond professionally to queries from internal stakeholders, auditors, and external partners while communicating issues clearly for timely resolution.
- Adhere consistently to conduct rules set by relevant regulatory authorities, demonstrating high standards of personal integrity.
What you bring:
The ideal Finance Associate brings a solid educational background in accounting or finance coupled with practical skills in data analysis using Excel, preferably with 1 - 2 years of experience in journal entries.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a closely related field demonstrates your academic foundation for this role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for handling data analysis familiarity with ERP systems would be advantageous but not mandatory.
- Your attention to detail ensures accuracy in all aspects of cash management, reconciliations, and reporting duties.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills enable you to interact confidently with colleagues across departments as well as external partners.
- A methodical approach allows you to organise tasks effectively while prioritising deadlines without compromising quality or compliance.
