The Real Estate Finance Manager oversees the financial management, compliance, and reporting of UOB's real estate assets and projects. The role ensures accurate financial operations, risk management, and strategic oversight of property investments while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Financial Management
- Lead Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes focusing on real estate transactions and vendor management.
- Monitor loan drawdowns, interest payments, and capital injections for property development and investment projects.
- Prepare, analyze, and report on budgets, forecasts, and financial trends specific to real estate assets and projects.
Compliance & Risk Oversight
- Ensure compliance with VAT, WHT, CIT, and other financial regulations relevant to property operations.
- Coordinate with country teams to maintain SLA compliance, operational risk management, and audit readiness.
- Lead internal and external audits, including property-related financial reviews and assurance processes.
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
- Prepare and distribute financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for real estate holdings.
- Collaborate with internal teams (asset management, leasing, development) and external partners (banks, auditors) for accurate reporting.
Administrative Leadership
- Supervise onboarding/offboarding, IT coordination, and fixed asset stock takes, including property and equipment inventories.
- Maintain high standards of operational efficiency and accuracy in administrative processes.
Strategic Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support ad-hoc initiatives such as real estate data analysis, market research, and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial controls, reporting efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in real estate finance, including property accounting, investment analysis, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and risk management in the real estate sector.
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, and capable of problem-solving in complex financial operations.
