SpeQtral is looking for a highly motivated Finance and Accounting Manager to join a team of space quantum pioneers at our headquarters in Singapore. We are commercialising quantum communications to prepare the world for the quantum future. Think quantum space lasers, entanglement and military level secure communications. As part of our mission to transform the world's networks we plan to enable constellations of satellites to provide world-wide entanglement distribution. The earliest application of this is highly secure delivery of encryption keys to facilitate secret communications.
As a Finance and Accounting Manager at SpeQtral, you will be working closely with the Director of Business Operations and CEO, and will be responsible for the financial accounting, management reporting and statutory accounting functions for the company.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee full spectrum of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting to support strategic and operational objectives.
- Preparation of Month End, Quarterly and Annual Financial Reports ensuring accuracy and integrity of the organisation financial reporting.
- Manage the preparation and consolidation of management reports, financial analyses, and performance dashboards for management review and decision-making.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and government agencies to ensure financial compliance and maintain good standing.
- Lead and coordinate annual audit processes, liaising with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely completion.
- Administer and monitor grant funding processes - including application, tracking, compliance reporting, disbursement, and audit submission - ensuring adherence to funding agency requirements.
- Provide support to the management team for strategic decision making.
- Development and refining of accounting policies, processes, and controls.
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or ACCA with at least five years of accounting and finance working experience.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a commercial and auditing environment
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient knowledge of Xero and MS Excel
- Exceptional communication skills
