Job Description:
Reporting to Vice President, Finance & Operations, the Finance & Operations Executive/ Associate will be involved in a broad spectrum of financial, operational, and accounting matters for both the company and the funds under management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Control & Accounting
- Prepare the full set of monthly accounts and comprehensive financial reports for the company.
- Manage day-to-day finance operations, including Accounts Payable (issuing vendor payments and disbursements) and Accounts Receivable (issuing invoices for management fees and billables).
- Ensure effective cash management across bank accounts to optimize yields and maintain compliance with capital adequacy ratios as prescribed by MAS.
2. Fund & Middle-Office Operations
- Review reports prepared by the Fund Administrator, specifically bank reconciliations, financial statements, and financial schedules.
- Verify the accuracy of client capital statements, including capital and investment activity and valuation adjustments.
- Support the administration of Fund structures, including tax incentive applications (e.g., S13U/S13X).
- Assist in monitoring and preparing trade settlements to support middle-office functions.
- Preparation of data uploads to portfolio management system.
3. Compliance & Stakeholder Management
- Prepare and submit periodical regulatory reports to MAS and other regulatory authorities.
- Handle routine regulatory reporting and the opening of new bank accounts.
- Coordinate compliance requirements involving external auditors, corporate secretaries, and tax advisors.
- Manage ad-hoc client requests and daily fund operations.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- Degree/Diploma: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in fund accounting and the preparation of full-set monthly accounts is an added advantage
- Software Proficiency: High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Mindset: Analytical and inquisitive mind with a positive attitude toward learning new skills.
- Execution: Deadline-oriented with the ability to complete tasks independently and with minimal supervision.
- Teamwork: A strong team player who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Contract Requirements
- Duration: full-time contract of 1 year.
- Eligibility: Open to Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents.
