Field Service Maintenance Technician |
Robotics/Electro-Mechanical

Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to $3,500/month, depending on experience
Location: Singapore (Central-West), with regular travel to customer and field sites

Singapore-based robotics company developing and deploying robotic solutions for real-world commercial applications. Looking for a Field Service Technician to join their growing team and support the installation, maintenance and reliable operation of robotic systems.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting technical problems and learning about robotics and automation.

Jobscope:

- Install, commission and support robotic systems at customer sites.
- Perform preventive maintenance, servicing and equipment inspections.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, sensor and basic system-related issues.
- Carry out repairs, adjustments and component replacements where required.
- Respond to technical service requests and escalate complex issues to the appropriate technical team.
- Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records and parts usage records.
- Communicate professionally with customer representatives and site personnel.
- Provide basic operational guidance to customers when required.
- Support spare-parts and equipment management.
- Identify recurring technical issues and provide feedback to the engineering team.
- Travel to customer and field locations across Singapore as required.
- Support occasional after-hours service requirements when necessary.

Requirements:

- Higher NITEC or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in field service, maintenance, electromechanical systems, robotics, automation or a related environment.
- Practical knowledge of mechanical assemblies, basic electrical systems and fault diagnosis.
- Experience with robotics, automation or electromechanical equipment is an advantage.
- Comfortable using hand tools and basic diagnostic/testing equipment.
- Able to troubleshoot problems logically and work independently in the field.
- Able to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
- A valid Class 3 driving licence is preferred.
- Willing to travel between customer sites and provide occasional after-hours support when required.
