Job Summary
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and commissioning of pump systems both at the workshop and customer sites. This role requires strong hands-on experience, the ability to work independently, and a proactive mindset to ensure optimal pump performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pump assembly, disassembly, installation, alignment, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair.Execute scheduled maintenance, overhauls, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) witnessing, SAT (Site Acceptance Test), commissioning, and fine-tuning.
- Diagnose technical issues using technical documents and operating data.Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Supervise on-site service works and subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and schedules.
- Prepare detailed service reports and risk assessments, ensuring strict adherence to WSH (Workplace Safety and Health) requirements.
- Provide prompt technical support to customers and perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in pump servicing and troubleshooting.
- Education: ITE Certificate (Merit), Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge: Strong practical knowledge of pumps and mechanical systems.
Skills & Competencies
- Communication: Proficient in spoken English with good reporting skills.
- Licence: Must possess a valid car driving licence (Singapore or convertible preferred).
- Soft Skills: Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and possesses strong problem-solving skills.
- Safety: High level of safety awareness and commitment to quality.
- Working HoursMonday - Friday, 9:00 - 18:00
